ABOUT US:

Quality Control/Safety: Safety Standards/Processes

The safety and health of all employees of Ernest D. Menold, Inc. are of primary importance. The prevention of work-related injuries takes precedence over operating productivity. Our goal is ZERO accidents, injuries and illnesses.

The Ernest D. Menold, Inc. Safety Program is a written guide for all employees for safe work practices in the shop and at field sites, and it is delivered to employees at the time of hire. Our Safety Program complies with OSHA standards for General Industry in the shop and Construction Industry in the field.

In addition to general safety practices, our Safety Program includes the following specific work procedures:

  • Lockout/tagout of hazardous equipment
  • Confined space entry
  • Fall protection

Safe work habits are the responsibility of every employee. Our Safety Coordinator oversees employee training and works with our foremen to create safe work environments. Jobsite inspections, frequent safety performance newsletters, weekly toolbox talks and accident investigations are all part of the implementation of our safety program.

Working towards ZERO accidents requires a commitment throughout our workforce. The achievement of individual and company safety goals is recognized through our Safety Incentive Award Program.
